Ellen Marie Robinson, 72, of Redfield, died with family by her side Sunday evening, November 15, 2015 at the Guest Home Estates. She was born November 7, 1943 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Estil Doyle and Katherine Johnson. She married Lynn Mack Robinson July 4, 1993 in Uniontown, Kansas and he survives of the home.
Ellen was a Christian woman of hard work and integrity who instilled these values in her children. She spent her life helping others, including many years as a CNA and an EMT. She was an avid gardener, loved quilting, and spent her final years enjoying her home at Lake Frances.
She took great joy in having her many children and grandchildren come to visit, and many happy memories were made fishing, relaxing, and enjoying each other’s company. She will be very much missed by them all.
In addition to her husband, Ellen is survived by her children, Kathy Zimmerman of Hamilton, Kansas, Edward (Kelci) Zimmerman of Worland, Wyoming, Kendall (Lisa) Zimmerman of Olathe, Kansas, Lindi Robinson (Michael) Carpenter of Buford, Georgia, and Lorie Robinson (Terry) Baldwin of Salina, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Sherrill Johnson of Coffeyville, Kansas; fifteen grandchildren, Trina Peterson, Jesse Bower, Tristan Zimmerman, Tanner Zimmerman, Tatum Zimmerman, Creedon Newell, Bronson Newell, Camden Zimmerman, Brennan Zimmerman, Allyson Zimmerman, Braden Zimmerman, Tara Booth, Shauna Henry, Lara Podesta, and Lacey Carpenter; and three great-grandchildren, Leighton Podesta, Silas Booth, and Evie Henry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Floyd Johnson, and her first husband, Dale Zimmerman.
Pastor Larry Stevicks will conduct funeral services 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Robinson Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W.
