Paulette and family sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I had just learned about it just yesterday. He was a great person and very generous and it saddeneds my heart. I just want you to know how grateful and bless I am to know you both. And the way you both believe in me I can't thank you enough for all the great opportunities you and Jim gave me. I will never forget any of you and the special place that was Smith/Chambers. I hope the lord bless you and keeps you well Paulette. I sincerely, sincerely thank you both for everything you done for me.

Paulette and family, I was very saddened to hear about Jimmy's passing. It's been a very long time since I have seen him. The odd thing is, is that I had just been talking about him with Dennis a couple of days ago. I learned from David, through a conversation we had at my sister, Louise's, wake a year ago, that Jimmy had basically retired a while ago. I hope this gave him the chance to slow down and enjoy life. Please know that I am thinking of you at this time and send my love. Carolyn and Dennis Willard Oxford, Wisconsin

Our community has lost an extraordinary creator of jobs, a true Christian devoted to his family, friends and those serving in the military. Unimaginable -- the number of lives he has touched in so many positive ways. Humble to the core. May he rest in the Peace he so richly deserves!

Paulette, I wish to share with you our deepest sympathy in hearing about Jim’s passing. Though it has been many years since we last saw each other, I will always cherish working with Jim on various dealings at Union Pacific. Sometimes in business you work with someone who becomes a good friend outside the work environment. Jim’s work ethic was only exceeded by the size of his heart and generosity. Linda and I will always remember our trip to Fort Scott where we had a chance to meet with your family and made to feel like the most special guests in the world. You are both special people and will forever hold a warm spot in our hearts and the memories that were made. God bless you and your family.
