John was friends with my parents Firpo and Patricia and I had the privilege of working in John's department at American States one summer while in college. My condolences to Brian and the family.

John was a good friend and coworker at The Western. He was best man for me when Joyce and I married in 1970. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. John was one of a kind, and a very dear friend to my dad. They played Football together in FSCC. I can remember my dad telling stories of John and the team playing a particular rough bunch one time. On the line up, your dad was a little perturbed with the roughness, so when they made the call, he came up with both fists and broke the roughian's jaw. From that point on, no one messed with John. Let the fond memories of the good times fill your minds this week. I love your family dearly, and pray for peace for you all.
