Nancy Lou Dizmang, 73 of Fort Scott, died Wednesday afternoon, August 12, 2015 at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. She was born February 14, 1942 in Ottawa, Kansas the daughter of George Frederick, Sr. and Mary Opal (Bingham) Hull. She married Chancy Owen Dizmang June 4, 1962 at the Block Trinity Lutheran Church in Paola, Kansas and he survives of the home.

Nancy graduate from Wellsville High School in 1961. After marrying Chancy they moved to Sonoma California in 1965. She received her CNA license in 1979 and worked at a nursing home for a while. She provided in-home care services and volunteered for local Lutheran Church programs as well as a variety of community programs for seniors. She retired in 1995 and then in 2003 moved back to Fort Scott.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her five children, Cynthia Elizabeth Smith of Jefferson, Oregon, Raymond Douglas Dizmang of Fort Scott, Kansas, Anita Jean Flores of Sonoma, California, Deborah Kay Cassayre of Clearlake, California, and Joseph Allen Dizmang of Pittsburg, Kansas; two brothers, George Frederick Hull, Jr. of Gila Bend, Arizona, and Stephen Lee Hull of Lawrence, Kansas; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Pastor Steven Sweyko will conduct funeral services 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Scott under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Block Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Paola, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Kansas City or the National Arthritis Foundation and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W.
