Warren Wesley Gress, 91, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Monday morning, January 1, 2018, at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. He was born May 3, 1926 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Grover C. and Mary Haff Gress.
Warren served in the United States Navy from 1944 through 1946, graduated from the School of Business at the University of Kansas in 1950, and then became an Accountant and Tax Preparer in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a member of the Sunset Hills Christian Church in Kansas City, Kansas.
He is survived by a son, Wes Gress of Fort Scott and a daughter, Sherry Jean Sugg of Lakewood, Colorado, and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and 8 brothers.
Following Cremation the family and friends will gather for a visitation 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery.
